Dil Ranamager

Dil Ranamager plays the most instruments and is probably the most musical of Bhutanese-Nepali Folk. Dil plays the guitar, keyboard, Nepali drum (madal), Indian drums (tabalas), bass, harmonium (pump organ) and he is learning how to play the Nepali flute (Basuri). Dil majored in music in Nepal and taught music to children in a private school. He used to work in a steel company but now he works at a casino. Dil collaborated with jazz musician Monk Rowe on a CNY Arts Decentralization grant last year to play a combination of Nepali folk music and the Blues. They performed a show together at the Tramontane Café in Utica.
